Marky D has been assigned to mix the audio for the official trailer of the upcoming independent feature film, “The Devil’s 6 Commandments” directed by Dicky T. Not just a performing artist, Marky D also has an Advanced Diploma in Audio Engineering and Sound Production.

Debut gig @ The Lewisham Livehouse & Miami

Marky D and band played their first show last night at the Lewisham Livehouse, Sydney. Thanks to those who came and made it such a great and memorable night! We’ll be back in the new year! However, Marky D will fly to Florida, USA tomorrow for a deserving holiday and to explore Miami and its surroundings sites as well as recording and gigging with Jason K and his band.

First Tagalog song

Marky D recorded his first Tagalog song titled, “Para Saating Dalawa” (For You and I). It’s a rough translation of his song “The Cycle”. The song was translated by Gerwin Cuenca and his mother, Patria Flores.

Marky D to take part in the Jeff / Tim Buckley Tribute, Dream Brother once again this year at the renowned Sydney venue, The Basement on November 6. He will be backed by a full house band. Artists performing a range of songs from both Tim & Jeff’s catalogue are: Matt Tonks, Brydon Stace, Jason Hicks, Michael Azzopardi, Matt Anderson, Krystal Rogers, Peter Miller Robinson, Marky D & MORE TO BE ANNOUNCED.
Jeff Apter author of the Jeff Buckley biography ‘A Pure Drop…’ will have copies of the paperback available on the night.
Jeff Buckley is Marky D’s biggest inspiration. Australia has embraced Buckley’s music more than any other country in the world.

Welcome to the new look for the Marky D website!
The night has arrived when Marky D and band will be performing live. This is Marky D’s first solo venture in a long, long time and backed by Dennis G on drums & Matt G on bass.
The band will be performing for over an hour starting around 9pm and there will be 3 other rock bands on the night. The lineup is as follows:

A Tribute to Jeff Buckley

Marky D will be part of a lineup of local Sydney artists that will be performing songs from the Jeff Buckley catalogue as a tribute to Buckley’s passing.
The last show will be held at the new 350-capacity venue, Notes Live in Newtown and will celebrate the world-wide release of Grace Around The World DVD/CD.
